We celebrated Kalia’s 2nd birthday tonight.  Can’t believe that our little girl is already 2!  I just want to bottle up all of these days/moments – and keep them forever.  

Kalia requested mac and cheese (home-made of course:), salad with olives and cucumber, and carob muffins with strawberry icing.  Here are a few pics…

Snuggle Bunny!

When Kalia was still in my tummy, Corban prayed that we would have a little girl and that she would like to snuggle. Definitely a prayer that was answered!  We can’t get enough of this little one – and we ALL love her snuggles!

I love reading to Samuel and Kalia. I could spend hours a day doing it.  I love story books, picture books, adventure books, fantasy books.  I love to see imagination and story brought together in the minds of children.  One of our favorite family activities is to read a book and make a ‘craft’ or do an activity connected to the story.  Kalia loves  ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’.  So – here we are – making our own ‘very hungry caterpillars’…

Winter

As much as I LOVE the very mild winter we have had this year, Samuel and Kalia have been quite sad recently by our lack of snow.  Samuel even prayed for snow (during bedtime prayers tonight).  And as Samuel says, ‘the weatherman doesn’t really know what the weather will be because only God knows that.’  So – let’s hope the weather man is wrong about the weather this week – and we get just a little bit of snow for our kids!  Here is a pic of the kids all dressed up for the 1/4 inch of snow we had all winter!
